POPA was established in 2015, in Elche (Alicante Spain) by the Lucas brothers. After over 25 years of experience in the footwear world, they decided to take the leap and create their own brand. While respecting each one of the traditional process’ details, they incorporate new fashion trends in their designs, creating platform espadrilles that set them apart from the rest.
POPA is a 100%-Mediterranean made product, at their own factory, spanning more than 2,000 square metres. This means every detail in the shoe can be supervised from designing and selecting materials to manufacturing.
The fact that production takes place entirely in Spain means that they can create capsule collections each month, in an ongoing search for new ideas and styles.
Today, POPA distributes in over 20 countries on four different continents, with distributors in Europe, Russia, USA and Australia. Moreover, its online sales channel has become one of the main sources of invoicing over the past year, providing for the brand’s world expansion.
