After more than a decade in the shoe industry in the USA, Jeffrey Campbell decided to launch his own shoe brand in 2000, with the encouragement of his wife, Christine. The brand started out with the same vision as it has today - to provide eclectic footwear, designed to be inclusive to everyone, and to be comfortable and durable.
It was not, however, until 2010, that Jeffrey Campbell became a household name. It is not often that shoes are remembered by their name, but the Jeffrey Campbell LITA is an exception.
The famous heel platform lace-up boot took the world by storm and soon bloggers worldwide were wearing a pair of LITAs. If it weren’t for social media, Jeffrey Campbell brand would not be what it is today. The LITA remains the most blogged about shoe in the world ever.

This is a question asked by many, due to the fact that his designer-competitions are very much in the limelight, yet Jeffrey Campbell himself is never anywhere to be seen and there are absolutely no pictures of him online. Anywhere. He does exist! He prefers to stay out of the limelight, with no interest in being a celebrity - he wants his shoes to be all about the shoes and the ladies that wear them, and not about him.
