The Biggest Shoe Trends This Winter & How To Style Them

Here are the biggest shoe trends this winter and how to style them – some of them may surprise you!

Here at TSL we scour the globe for the most innovative shoe designs. These are some of the shoe trends this winter that will lighten up your wardrobe and make your feet very happy! You can click on the links in the image captions to purchase any of the shoes 🙂

Unusual Heels

This season has seen a large focus on unusual heels. The only downside to unusual heels is that comfort is sometimes compromised. I can assure you that this is not the case for the unusual heels selection that we have in stock – come on over to our nearest branch and try on a pair to see for yourself.

On the spotlight for unusual heels is the Jeffrey Campbell Compass boot. These boots are part of my personal collection and are EXTREMELY comfortable. For those that are between sizes, I would order one size up for comfort.

Colour Blocking

Colour-blocking is a 60’s-fashion inspired form of mixing colours together in palettes that just ‘work’. Colour-blocking is an effective way to make your shoes stand out and perfectly match the rest of your outfit – a really creative way of dressing!

High Platforms

High platforms are the way to go this winter (and in my opinion, every winter thereafter!). This trend focusses on comfort, which is always a priority when it comes to high fashion. Beauty does not have to be painful! Grab your self a pair of JC’s from this range and give the ‘ultra-platform’ a go. You won’t regret it.

Stretch PU (Fitted)

This is the new direction that fashion is going in – stretch PU as a replacement for leather. As well as being animal-friendly, this material is perfectly suited for that ‘fitted’ look which is so flattering on any leg! Made with only the best-quality materials, PU of this quality often lasts longer than leather. This is also better suited than leather for ladies with bigger legs and encourages a much more inclusive type of fashion. See below the beautiful fit and how to style these boots.

Over-the-Knee Boots

Inspired by celebrities such as Ariana Grande, the over-the-knee boot is one of the most popular trends this season. They look great with jeans and dresses, and are surprisingly quite a versatile style.

The statement boot of the season – the Jeffrey Campbell Amigos Boot is the go-to boot for both warmth and comfort.

Lug Sole Boots

Chunky cleated soles are the way to go this winter – inspired by military boots, these boots give any outfit more ‘power’, and also provide better grip at the same time. The best of both worlds – comfort and beauty.

Chelsea Boots

Making a comeback again this winter, this season’s chelsea boots put an emphasis on comfort and durability. With so many options to choose from, it’s hard to pick a favourite! BUT, if I must choose, then it would be the beautiful knee-high Jeffrey Campbell Tanked 2k (Top Middle).

Chunky Loafers

Borrowing from last season, chunky loafers seem to be sticking around in the latest fashion trends for 2022 and 2023. They can be dressed up or down, and are great to wear to work or out for a dinner in the city.

Lace-Up Oxfords

A classic work look – these oxfords can be dressed up or down and are wonderfully versatile. They look great with a cute pair of socks too!

Square Toe

Square-toed boots and shoes are trumping round-toes shoes this season – a little extra space for the toes never hurt! We have your square-toed shoes covered, from mary janes, to pumps, to boots.

Mary Janes

Inspired from the mid 20th century, mary janes are some of the oldest shoe trends around. This pretty feminine style comes back again and again every season, each time with a new twist. Have a look below at this year’s mary jane trends and how to style them.

And Finally, It’s All In The Detail

We all love a decent amount of embellishment on our shoes that make them extra special – we have a few show-stoppers this season at That Shoe Lady where the details on the upper of the shoe are beautifully intricate.

And those are our favourite trends for Autumn/Winter ’22 – thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
